Structural plywood is not a premium upgrade on standard sheet. It is the correct specification for any application where the sheet product contributes to the structural integrity of the build. Manufactured to AS/NZS 2269 with a Type A phenolic glue line rated for exterior and structural use, it is the sheet of choice for wall bracing panels, sub-floor sheeting, roof decking, and LVL web beams in residential and commercial construction across Sydney.
When Structural Grade Is Required
Wall bracing panels, sub-floor sheeting, roof decking, and LVL web beams all require structural grade plywood. Using non-structural sheet in these applications is a compliance issue, not just a performance one. AS/NZS 2269 certification and the Type A glue line are what the engineer specifies and what the building certifier looks for at inspection.

No. Marine plywood is manufactured to a different standard with higher-grade face veneers and a Type A glue line, specifically for applications with sustained moisture exposure. Structural plywood to AS/NZS 2269 uses a Type A glue line for structural and exterior use but is not a substitute for marine grade in wet or submerged applications.
