Plywood flooring sheets are structural-grade panels engineered for sub-floor and direct-stick flooring substrate applications. Manufactured to tighter deflection tolerances than general structural plywood, they carry tongue and groove edges on most sizes to lock sheets together for a tight, rattle-free join that stays flush underfoot across the life of the floor. The Type A glue line provides moisture resistance for the demands of a residential floor system.
Flooring Grade, Not General Structural
Standard structural plywood is specified to AS/NZS 2269 for load-bearing applications. Flooring-grade plywood is manufactured to tighter deflection tolerances and, in most cases, carries a tongue and groove profile that prevents sheet-edge movement underfoot. For new builds and renovation sub-floor work over timber joists, flooring-grade plywood is the correct specification.

Sub-floor sheeting goes down before the finished floor goes on top, and if you are laying solid timber floor boards over this substrate we stock both from the same warehouse. The floor joists carrying these sheets need proper connection at the bearing points, and framing joist connectors are stocked alongside our sheet range for the complete floor system.
