Ingal Rendabar Galvanised Angle Lintels Sydney

Rendabar is Ingal’s galvanised steel angle specifically designed for rendered masonry applications. Where standard Ingal angle is used in face brick construction, Rendabar carries the same structural performance in a profile engineered to bond with render coatings. The product is used extensively in brick veneer and full masonry construction where external walls will receive a render finish rather than remain as exposed face brick. We stock Rendabar in 100 x 100 x 6mm and 150 x 100 x 6mm profiles, in lengths from 1.2m to 4.0m. Delivered across Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Wollongong, and the Central Coast, or click and collect from our Arndell Park warehouse.

Rendabar Sizes We Stock

  • 100 x 100 x 6mm: available in 1.2m, 1.5m, 1.8m, 2.1m, and 2.4m lengths.
  • 150 x 100 x 6mm: available in 2.7m, 3.0m, 3.6m, and 4.0m lengths for wider openings.

Rendabar vs Standard Ingal Angle

The structural performance of Rendabar and standard Ingal angle is equivalent for the same section size. The difference is in the surface profile. Rendabar is designed to accept render coatings cleanly and bond correctly with the render system. Using standard Ingal angle in a rendered application may result in render adhesion issues at the lintel face.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Rendabar and how is it different from standard Ingal angle?

Rendabar is Ingal’s galvanised angle designed specifically for rendered masonry applications. It has the same structural performance as standard Ingal angle but with a surface profile engineered to bond correctly with render coatings. Standard Ingal angle is designed for face brick applications where the steel face remains exposed or is painted.

Where is Rendabar used?

Rendabar is used in brick veneer and full masonry construction where the external walls will receive a render finish. It spans door and window openings in the masonry leaf, carrying the masonry load above the opening while providing a surface that accepts render correctly.

Is Rendabar hot-dip galvanised?

Yes. Rendabar carries the same hot-dip galvanised coating as standard Ingal angle, providing corrosion resistance in Australian construction conditions and within the alkaline environment of fresh mortar and render.

What lengths of Rendabar do you stock?

We stock the 100 x 100 x 6mm Rendabar in lengths from 1.2m to 2.4m, and the 150 x 100 x 6mm in lengths from 2.7m to 4.0m. Call 1300 554 775 to confirm current stock.

Can Rendabar be cut on site?

Yes. Rendabar can be cut with an angle grinder or steel cutting disc. Treat cut ends with cold galvanising compound to protect exposed steel from corrosion.
