How Concrete Screws Work
Unlike a standard screw that relies on wood fibres for grip, a concrete screw is hardened and threaded to cut its own path through masonry. You drill a clearance hole using a masonry bit, vacuum out the dust, then drive the screw directly in. The threads bite into the concrete as you go, creating a mechanical lock that is both strong and removable if needed.
For light to medium load applications, concrete screws are a fast and clean solution. For structural and heavy-duty loads, where rated pull-out strength is required, our sleeve anchors (also called dynabolts) provide a higher load rating and suit applications from M6 through to M20.
