Qualities of MDF Sheets
Medium-density fibreboard or MDF standard timber sheets are an engineered type of wood that has a smooth surface and uniform density core. They can be easily painted, cut, machined and drilled into without any splintering or chipping. MDF sheets come in a wide range of sizes. Standard MDF timber sheets are manufactured for general purpose interior use. They are not suitable for outdoor use and interior sections of a building that are exposed to high levels of humidity or where wet conditions are likely, such as bathrooms and kitchens.
Benefits of MDF Standard Timber Sheets
MDF standard timber sheets are made from high-quality wood fibres that are then dry-bonded with synthetic resins and subjected to high-frequency compression. These highly versatile types of panels also come with numerous advantages. They have generally smoother surfaces and edges for better, high-quality finishing, and they can be cut cleanly to come up with clean, smooth edges. They are also suitable for use with different kinds of woodworking tools. MDF sheets are also widely known for their strength, affordability, durability and consistency in quality, so they do not have any voids or splinters.

Its high level of adaptability makes it suitable for a number of applications, including doors, furniture, partitions, shelving, shop fittings, tradeshow booths, internal joinery, architectural mouldings, panelling, wainscoting, flooring, speaker boxes and theatre set construction.
